RF Engineering Manager - ASG06833

Manage an RF Engineering department developing advanced secure communications products.

Manage, set priorities and oversee design simulation and integration of receivers and transmitter chains, both RF and digital, for VHF/UHF/SHF radios and COMSEC equipment.

Validate design approaches and generate complete specifications and Statement of Work (SOW). Establish and maintain contacts with other supporting engineering departments, outside subcontractors and vendors to ensure conformance with design requirements. Develop project plans, schedules and oversee budgets.

BSEE or MSEE and 15+ years experience, with at least 5 years managing teams designing complex RF and IF systems.

Strong demonstrated background in RF systems and circuit design, both analog and mixed-signal. Skilled at managing project schedules, staffing, defining and executing hardware and systems engineering development processes. Ability to coordinate activities of subordinates and support employees. Present monthly progress reports to senior management. Will direct and mentor a team of up to 20 RF Engineers.

Some travel to Europe and Asia (total 2 weeks per year).

Senior RF Engineer - ASG06840

Lead design/development of RF broadband high-power amplifiers (HPA) for use in complex communications products including ruggedized computers, PDAs and tactial radios.:

BSEE (or relevant degree) and 7+ years experience in design/development of RF high-power amplifiers from 20 MHz - 2 GHz, up to 100 watts. Experience with solid-state switching, filtering, and amplifier linearization. Familiarity with simulation/design software tools (eg: Eagleware Genesis, AWR, P-CAD, AutoCAD).

Ability to create and work with customers and vendors in component specifications for integration into RF Systems. Capable of mentoring junior engineers and working with high-energy product development teams.


RF Design Engineers / Antennas - ASG06836

Design and develop ruggedized, high performance antennas (400MHz - 3GHz) and related components for tactical communications products for use in demanding military and commercial applications. Products include secure radios, tactical networks, and ruggedized hand-held computers.

Demonstrated understanding of antenna design, antenna radiation patterns, near field antennas, including antenna G/T calculations.

Minimum BSEE (or relevant) and 5+ years experience in design/development of RF circuits and systems for voice and/or data communications products. Previous exposure to and understanding of RF design and synthesis tools.

U.S. Citizen, active Secret or Top Secret a plus, but not required.


Senior RF Manager - ASG06824

Provide technical leadership and management for development of new technologies, products, and/or processes within a product family.

Oversee the design, building, and testing of products through all phases of the engineering process and delivery to production. Manage cross-functional new product development group. Work with customer, product and project management to develop specifications and schedules. Work with product management developing product technology roadmaps.

Prioritize work for multiple projects and provide technical direction to product development team. Oversee key engineers, responsible for ensuring project targets are met. Conduct necessary design reviews, ensuring signoff on all product phases. Ensure adequate time to perform design analysis and simulations, focusing on risk mitigation.

Introduce new products into manufacturing and ensure smooth transition to production. Report project status to upper management and customers, and respond to customer issues/requests.

BSEE (or relevant degree) and 15+ years of experience in RF product design and development, with at least 6 years in management role. Strongly prefer knowledge and/or experience with High Power Amplifier design experience.


Lead Project Engineer / RF Systems - ASG06827

Lead design of new and novel RF Power Products. Direct an R&D team with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic, highly technical setting, and interact with members of other organizations in a cross-functional technology development environment. Provide project leadership on projects from concept to completion, including technical resource and budget allocation. Organize engineering teams to execute development and release of new RF products. Manage R&D projects, and working closely with electrical, mechanical and process engineers and scientists for system characterization, specification, and integration. Participate in reliability program definition and drive continuous improvement efforts. Communicate critical technical information regarding system design and performance, including schedule, specifications and cost ramifications.

BS in a engineering discipline and 10+ years of applicable experience, with 3-4+ years of project lead experience. Highly self-motivated and have a fundamental understanding of RF systems, amplifiers, and controls. Experience with RF or Power Electronics design.


RF Design Engineer - ASG06851

Design and develop novel, leading edge, RF Power generation products for use in industrial electronics applications.

Work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic, highly technical environment. Develop hardware designs that meet technical, financial, geometric, and other various design constraints using a combination of modeling, simulation, prototyping, testing, and analysis. Guide hardware fabrication, test, qualification, and release to production. Formulate product specifications and flow down to the product subsystems.

Design and verify RF measurement and control networks, including specifying accuracies. Lead PCB and chassis level prototyping, testing, documentation and review. Communicate critical technical information regarding RF and electrical system design and performance. Develop simulation models to analyze transient behavior, thermal stress response, electrical noise and probable failure modes. Design test-benches, perform experiments, collect and analyze data, and implement proposed improvements. Support new technology development initiatives.

BSEE and 5+ years experience in RF or Power Electronics design at power levels above 1 kW. Experience with simulation tools (such as SPICE, VIEWLOGIC or equivalent). Hands-on laboratory experience required.


Principal RF Systems Engineer - ASG06846

Lead system engineering teams in sensor development and acquisition projects involving data collection, processing, and exploitation for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance.

Provide sensor systems engineering and technical leadership. Work closely with project leaders, government customers, and contractors to define and achieve project goals. Assign, evaluate, and mentor staff working on diverse technical projects. Pursue opportunities to participate in technology assessments and system concepts for variety of surveillance missions.

MSEE, CS, or relevant perf with 7+ years radar systems engineering concepts and current radar technologies.

Must be independent and proactive with strong communication skills. Desired skills include intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, command and control, airborne and ground moving target indicator, RF technology, microwave, radar systems engineering, antennas, data collection and analysis, sensor exploitation, space based platforms, resource management, AMTI, GMTI, ISR.

Wireless Communications Engineer - ASG06819

Analyze and develop solutions to challenges associated with internetworking of mobile airborne platforms, including space- and ground-based connectivity. Challenges include wireless comm, ad hoc media access, mobile routing, and quality of service provisioning.

BSEE, CS or relevant, and 3+ years of applicable experience. Solid understanding of RF communications. Strong analytical skills and knowledge of network protocol fundamentals including IP routing and wireless data-link protocols.

Lead Communications Systems Engineer - ASG06862

Provide communications engineering support for ground and airborne comm systems. Assess and evaluate systems requirements and support development of capabilities roadmap strategies.

BSEE (or relevant) with 5+ years of previous applicable experience. Strong RF communications systems skills and working knowledge of ground and airborne LOS/BLOS comm systems. Understanding of networks and network technology. Experience with AF communications operations and integration of systems on airborne platforms is a big plus.

Lead RF Communications Engineer - ASG06876

Lead RF Systems Analysis, RF Systems Design, and Communication Systems Design.

BSEE (or relevant) with 6+ years of applicable experience. Strong RF analysis and design skills, and knowledge of spread spectrum communication techniques.

Experience with military or commercial wireless communications, including frequency synthesizers, transceiver design, laboratory prototype skills. Working knowledge of HF communications highly desired. Experience in program acquisition, DSP, data networking is also desirable. Senior or Lead RF Systems Engineer - ASG06884

Lead system design and development of next-generation naval countermeasure decoys.

Lead multi-disciplined engineering teams in advanced technology IR&D projects, using analytical tools to evaluate anticipated design performance and derive state-of-the-art EW systems solutions. Establish test plans and procedures for integration and verification testing, and provide technical support to business development.

BSEE, BS Physics (or relevant degree) and 10+ years of Radar and/or EW System Engineering experience.


Principal RF Hardware Engineer - ASG06885

Lead the design of high performance microwave modules for automated test equipment. Work with and direct/advise product development engineering teams formulating specifications for new product applications, as a senior member of technical staff. Evaluate RF designs, suggest improvements. Counsel management and staff in the latest RF Engineering techniques, relative to their designs.

BSEE and 10+ years experience of related experience. Experience with microwave module design (chip and wire, substrate, flip chip, shielding, etc.) and circuit design (pin diode switches, couplers, filters, amplifiers, etc.). Strong knowledge of system and circuit level simulation (ADS and Eagleware is a plus). Ability to direct teams as an "expert".


Senior RF Hardware Engineer - ASG06886

Lead the design of Microwave antennas, receivers and transmitters for enhanced decoy programs.

Analyze and define RF subassemblies, prepare performance specifications, and provide packaging and layout direction to designers. Review designs for compliance, prepare technical articles and proposals, and supporting internal and customer reviews.

BSEE and 7+ years of applicable RF design experience, including development, prototyping, and verification testing of microwave systems equipment (receivers, transmitters, synthesizers). Some travel (less than 10%).


RF Hardware Engineer - ASG06892

Perform design, development and verification testing of microwave systems equipment consisting of receivers, transmitters and synthesizers.

Lead performance analysis of integrated RF subsystems. Analyze and define RF subassemblies, prepare performance specifications, and provide packaging and layout direction to designers. Review designs for compliance with customer specifications, and prepare technical articles and proposals, and support internal and customer reviews.

BSEE (or relevant degree) and 3+ years of applicable RF/Microwave design experience. Desired skills also include experience with design tools (such as Agilent ADS, Serenade, PSpice, MATLAB and/or AutoCAD).

Position is in TX first year, plant moving to AZ.


Principal RF / Systems Engineer - ASG05859

Specify and develop equipment and systems for naval and land-based communications systems.

Primary focus to include HF Radio Equipment consisting of low power receivers, antennas, high power transmitters, receive/transmit couplers and combiners. Secondary systems-level focus to include broader capabilities in VHF/UHF radio and RF components, naval networking systems, and control and management applications. Tasks to include conducting and reporting on feasibility studies, producing estimates for proposals, and liaison/briefings/negotiations with DOD and industry customers.

BS - Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics (or relevant) and 10+ years experience with RF technologies, (ideally HF spectrum) with ability to design and develop innovative cost effective system solutions. Additional broader experience in VHF/UHF, naval networking, control and management and systems integration is a plus.

Familiar with specific requirements of naval communications systems: STANAGs, waveforms, security constraints, processes and procedures. General knowledge of the following: RF power amplifiers, RF filters, RF distribution (splitters, amplifiers and combiners), receivers, oscillators, frequency synthesisers, RF cosite and EMC, and link budgets. Leading to an expert knowledge in at least two of the areas. Capable of multitasking a number of activities as departmental constraints dictate and willingness to attend customer meetings when required and on occasions, and visit installations to provide technical support.

Principal RF Engineer - ASG05405

Direct technical planning, RF system integration, verification and validation, risk, supportability and effectiveness analyses for total RF systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.

Ensures logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Strong advocate of continuous process improvement and infrastructure change.

Recognized as an authority in a specific domain of expertise with functional knowledge across multiple domains and processes.

BSEE and 10+ years experience as a RF System Engineer or RF Systems Lead Engineer, and at least 7 years of experience in the design and test of RF, digital and analog circuitry. Experience using analysis tools such as Matlab and Simulink, as well as expertise in the system design and analysis of sunthesizers, receivers, or transmitters is a plus.

Previous experience as a Project or Task Leader is desired. U.S. Citizen.


RF Communications System Engineer (5 positions) - ASG05409

RF System Engineer for a geographically dispersed, multi-site C4 system.

Responsibilities may include: RF coverage analysis and modeling, frequency planning, antenna system/tower analysis, intermodulation analysis, RF system design, peer review of RF system designs, assess link budgets and design criteria to meet coverage requirements, and document results of analysis, design and review activities.

May also include on-site evaluations of antenna sites to identify RF equipment locations and antenna orientation, advise end customer's engineering staff. Responsible for applying systematic processes to ensure the soundness and operational suitability of designs and design concepts.

BSEE with a minimum of 6+ years wireless communication systems engineering experience.

Familiarity and experience with one or more of the following areas is required: radio network design & deployment, RF coverage analysis/modeling, antenna design, EMI/intermod analysis, RF filtering products and their function (filter types, isolators, duplexers).

Must posess a thorough understanding of VHF/UHF radio propagation and have experience with coverage/intermod modeling. Deep experience with standard system engineering methodologies, processes and tools is required. U.S. Citizen.


RF Design Engineer (8 positions) - ASG05422

RF/Microwave design from VHF through S-Band.

As a member of a product development team, design, analyze and test analog and RF circuitry for software-defined radio. Perform associated performance and stress analyses, and participate in design reviews. Support the integration and testing of engineering model modules, and also support the eventual transition to full-rate production.

BSEE and 6 or more years demonstrated results for another measurable RF design company.

Demonstrated results in the design of analog and RF circuitry for fielded products. The successful candidate must have practical experience with analog RF design and analysis tools such as pSpice and ADS. Experience in the design of RF filters, synthesizers, VCO, power converters, receivers or low power transmitters is a significant plus.


Senior RF Design Engineer - ASG05431

Software defined radio development program.

As a member of a cross-functional product-development team, design, analyze and test state-of-the-art RF circuitry and develop ways to reduce the size and cost of the RF circuitry for use in a miniature software defined radio. Provide technical guidance to less experienced RF designers and engineers.

BSEE + 10 or more years of demonstrated results in the design of RF circuitry for fielded products. Practical experience with RF design and analysis tools such as pSPICE or ADS is required. Experience in the design of RF filters, synthesizers, VCOs, receivers or transmitters is a significant plus -- as well as experience in a leadership role on a development team, as a demonstrated significant RF engineering contributor. RF Hardware Design Engineers (3 positions) - ASG05447

Detailed design of RF and microwave modules for high reliability space applications.

Applicant should have prior experience with detailed design, simulation and test of circuits/modules/systems. Applicant must be able to effectively lead and interact with other hardware, software, test, systems and manufacturing engineers. Effective contact and interaction with customers and suppliers will also be required.

BSEE and 4+ year of experience required with emphasis on RF and microwave circuit design. Prior study of communication theory, RF circuit design, filters, electromagnetics and signal processing is required. A minimum of 5 years related experience in the design, simulation and fabrication of RF modules is required. Experience with network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, oscilloscopes and related RF test equipment.

May require limited travel to vendors in China and Europe. U.S. Citizen.


RF Engineer AM/FM - ASG05428

Design high performance AM/FM communications equipment in the 30 MHz-3GHz range from system through board level.

Derive and develop requirements, simulate expected performance, design PCB layouts, and oversee fabrication and test of completed assemblies. Products include tactical, battery powered, handheld communications equipment.

BSEE (or relevant degree) and 5+ years related experience. Proficient in CAD (HP-ADS, Touchstone, Libra, MathCad, Matlab, and Spice). Familiarity with Orcad schematic capture and proficiency planning PCB layouts on multi-layer SMT PCBs.

Some familiarity with Software Defined Radio design (hybrid analog DSP) is a plus, but not required.


RF Power Design Engineer - ASG04341

Develop innovative new solutions for integrated RF power systems, frequency and power ranges: 2 - 200 MHz and 1 - 50 kW.

Investigate, design and prototype advanced topologies for integrated RF power systems, used in semiconductor and flat-panel displays. Work with team of scientists and engineers prototyping completely new technologies. Interact with Advanced Technology, Engineering and Product Management to identify and implement new product opportunities.

BSEE or equivalent with 5+ yrs work experience. MS or PhD is a strong plus.

Understanding fundamentals of RF power system design, and familiarity with most of the following: hybrid packaging technology, high power MOS devices, switched-mode RF topologies, benchtop characterization of RF circuits, and fabrication and troubleshooting of high power RF circuits and systems. Experience in cost-driven design.


Senior RF Engineer - ASG04278

Design high efficiency RF power generation equipment advanced microelectronics process applications - 400kHz to 13.56MHz range (future work at higher frequencies), high efficiency power amplifier topologies (Class E, Class D, etc).

Verify design margin using circuit simulation and bench testing, improve design robustness using FMEA (failure modes and effect analyses) and DFx (design for manufacturability, assembly, and servicability). Analyze design variability for 4 statistical design margin in manufacturing. Will also oversee test-to-specification and reliability qualification tests.

BSEE (MSEE or equivalent preferred) and 7+ yrs experience in RF or switch-mode power electronics.

Experience with circuit simulation tools (eg: SPICE, Agilent ADS etc). Understand and manage tradeoffs between cost, performance and power density. Good writing skills (specifications, test reports, engineering analyses) and organizational skills a must.


RF Engineer - ASG04174

Design high efficiency RF power generation equipment for advanced process applications, including high efficiency RF amplifier topologies (Class C, D, E, etc), and passive subassemblies (filters, combiners, dividers, etc).

Will perform RF System integration, test and verification to specification. Verify design margin using circuit simulations and bench testing. Improve design robustness using FMEA (failure modes and effect analyses) and DFx (design for manufacturability, assembly and servicability).

Analyze design variability for 4 statistical design margin in manufacturing. Oversee and participate in test-to-specification and reliability qualification tests.

BSEE (or equivalent) and 2+ yrs experience in RF design (power RF design experience a plus). Experience with circuit simulation tools (eg: SPICE, Agilent ADS, Microwave Office, etc). Good writing skills (engineering specifications, technical test reports, engineering analyses, etc).


High Power RF Design Engineer - ASG04061

Develop High Power RF Electronics for a wide range of commercial photonic and scientific research and industrial applications,

Products are in 300W to 5kW range, 80 - 100 MHz range. Will be responsible for new poroduct innovations, and lead design from concept, through development and manufacturing integration. Product families consist of standard for full customization.

BSEE or equivalent with 3+ yrs related work experience. MS or PhD is a plus. Experience with High Power RF Design is absolutely required.


RF Hardware Engineer - ASG04055

Perform architectural, conceptual and detailed design of Receiver and Exciter equipment for airborne, ground-based, and shipboard radar systems.

Knowledge of frequency synthesis techniques and receiver design and analysis. Lead design of RF subsystems from concept through design, drafting, procurement, fabrication, assembly and qualification testing. Interface with all disciplines within the organization to produce compliant hardware from government specifications and/or internal concepts.

BSEE or equivalent required. Mid (3+) to Senior Level (9+) positions. Must have an understanding of RF and analog circuitry and PWB design. Working knowledge of Mentor Graphics PWB tools, Agilent ADS, and MATLAB a plus. Secret Clearance required.


RF / Microwave Engineer - ASG04039

Design and develop RF/Microwave subassemblies for Antenna subsystems.

Antenna Simulation Experience. Systems background and design leadership of mixed mode RF simulation equipment a plus. Responsible for leading the system design between engineering, manufacturing and program management and interfacing with customers during formal design reviews. Familiar with HFSS or equivalent simulation tool, Mat Lab, Microsoft Office and Visio a plus. Microsoft Project and EVMS experience a plus.

BS in Electrical Engineering, MSEE preferred, with 10+ years experience including the design, simulation and development of RF and microwave equipment. Unix, C/C++, MATLAB, MathCAD, MS Office, HFSS preferred. Ability to obtain SECRET clearance required. Excellent communication skills required (both verbal and written). Assist in the preparation of formal reports and presentations. Security Clearance will be required.


EMI / EMC Engineer - ASG04022

Design, evaluate and test airborne electronics in a high Electromagnetic environments. Will analyze and simulate radiated emissions and susceptibility of antenna subsystems and supporting electronics.

BSEE (MSEE is a plus) and 8+ yrs experience in design, simulation and development of RF & Microwave equipment with strong emphasis on EMI/EMC.

Must be a U.S. Citizen.


Senior RF Systems Engineer - ASG04011

Develop RF system requirements and define RF system architectures.

Will be responsible for design, testing and documentation of high power linear solid state modules, ranging from 10MHz - 300 MHz at power levels from 1 kW to 40 kW.

Work with internal business group and customers in negotiating and establishing acceptable system specifications; and perform system analysis and specification flow down to blocks and transfer to design engineers.

Responsible for specification compliance, margins and assessing specification risk for mitigation. Perform Monte-Carlo type yield, tolerance and sensitivity analysis. Assist in developing acceptance and qualification test procedures. Manage integration of RF amplifier systems from concept phase through volume production.

Work with subcontractors and suppliers performing lab testing for product validation and agency certification testing.

BSEE or equivalent (MSEE a plus). Strong knowledge of RF performance requirements including gain stability, amplitude and phase linearity over dynamic range, noise and harmonics, intermodulation products etc. 8+ years RF system design and analysis experience. Experience with RF Simulation CAD tools such as ADS, ANSYS etc.


Senior RF Systems Engineers - ASG04010

Lead concept, design and implementation of RF communication systems & lower level modules.

Analyze system requirements, determine design feasibility relative to time & cost constraints. Develop system specifications, assess architecture & hardware limitations, input & output processes & working parameters for HW/FW/SW compatibility. Develop, allocate & derive requirements for RF communication systems & modules. Coordinate system, subsystem design & integration/test for total system. Provide schedule status, evaluate technical & schedule risks, prepare & conduct design reviews for system and module level designs.

BSEE (MSEE a plus) & 5+ yrs project engineering exp, & 5 yrs systems engineering exp with military, space & commercial communications hardware & protocols. Experience with MATLAB and/or SLATE a plus. Secret Clearance required (Top Secret is a plus).Full relocation assistance provided.


Program Manager / Space Based Radar - ASG03981

Direct Space Based Radar Concept Definition Study (EADD II). As a Systems Integrator, lead a multi-organizational team to establish an integrated (Space, Ground & User Segments) SBR Systems architecture and design baseline.

Experience in project management, capture planning, proposal development, customer presentations and marketing support. Broad technical understanding of Space Based Surveillance/Reconnaissance Radar Systems, and demonstrated technical/managerial leadership of integrated product development teams. Background in launch, satellite systems, ground stations, and radar payload development.

BS required (MS a plus).


Radar Engineering Analyst (Principal Engineer) - ASG03980

Support high level programs within Sensors and Airborne Systems (SAS). Perform analysis on radar waveforms, target detection, target tracking, image quality, and/or error budgets.

Generate performance estimates using analytical techniques or modelling and simulation. Define numerical algorithms and detailed radar signal processing.

Will work under very limited direction of a IPT Lead and/or a Senior Technical Lead. Results are documented and communicated through technical reports or oral presentations to management.

Experience with probability/ statistics, analytical mindset, and strong communications skills. Experience several of the following areas: MATLAB, Kalman Filtering, Signal Processing, Radar Performance Analysis.

MS or PhD Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Applied Math,or Physics (or equivalent).


MMIC / MIC Radar Design Engineer (8 positions / multiple levels) - ASG03979

Design MIC hardware and/or MMIC chips for advanced Radar and avionics applications.

Knowledge of microwave integrated circuit design principles and experience with microwave CAD tools for simulation and analysis. Experience performing microwave integrated circuit tune and test and knowledge of microwave test equipment is a plus.

5+ years of hands-on experience and BS / MS Electrical Engineering for RF Engineers, 10+ years of experience for Senior RF Enginner role. One position for a Lead or Supervising RF Engineer, 12+ years experience - with at least 2-4 years in a supervisory technical position, managing and leading small engineering team of 4-8 RF Engineers (will perform performance reviews, mentor more junior engineers and set project priorities).
