Principal RF Engineer - ASG06992

Lead and development RF hardware for advanced avionic voice and data communications systems.

Emphasis on board / circuit level design including amplifiers, filters, synthesizers, frequency converters, etc. Evaluate RF and mixed signal designs, A/D and D/A implementations, and perform debug and root-cause analysis using g simulation and modeling tools.

BSEE and 6 or more plus years of applicable experience in RF transmitter and receiver design. Experience with CAE tools for simulation and modeling, as well as layout and schematic capture is also desired.


Senior RF Engineer - ASG06989

Wireless New Product Technology Development.

Creative Senior RF Design Engineer for key position in new product organization. Will lead RF design for revolutionary, first-in-the-industry, wireless avionic controls and aircraft data communications systems. Work in an advanced development environment complete with the latest laboratory tools and technology available.

BSEE and 10+ plus years of experience with ‘hands-on’ RF low power hardware design, >1GHz applications. Knowledge of EMI, power management and antenna matching is a plus.


RF Engineering Manager - ASG06833

Manage an RF Engineering department developing advanced secure communications products.

Leverage advanced principles, theories, and concepts of complex RF systems and designs. Manage and oversee design simulation and integration of receivers and transmitter chains, both RF/Analog and Digital, for VHF/UHF radios, modems and COMSEC equipment. Validate design approaches and generate complete specifications and Statement of Work (SOW). Establish and maintain contacts with supporting departments, subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure conformance with design requirements. Develop project plans, schedules and oversee budgets.

BSEE and 15+ years experience managing teams designing complex RF and IF systems.

Strong background in RF systems and circuit design, analog and mixed-signal. Skilled at managing project schedules, staffing, defining and executing hardware and systems engineering development processes. Ability to coordinate activities of subordinates and support employees.

Senior RF Engineer - ASG06840

Lead design/development of RF broadband high-power amplifiers (HPA) for use in complex communications products including ruggedized computers, PDAs and tactial radios (VHF/UHF) networks.

BSEE and 9+ years experience in design/development of RF high-power amplifiers ( HPAs ) from 20 MHz to 2 GHz, up to 100 watts.

Experience with solid-state switching, filtering, and amplifier linearization. Familiarity with simulation/design software tools (e.g. Eagleware Genesis, AWR, P-CAD, AutoCAD. Ability to create and work with customers and vendors in component specifications for integration into RF Systems. Capable of mentoring junior engineers and working with high-energy product development teams.


RF Engineering Manager - ASG06824

Provide technical leadership and management for development of new technologies, products, and/or processes within a product family.

Oversee the design, building, and testing of products through all phases of the engineering process and delivery to production. Manage cross-functional new product development group. Work with customer, product and project management to develop specifications and schedules. Work with product management developing product technology roadmaps.

Prioritize work for multiple projects and provide technical direction to product development team. Oversee key engineers, responsible for ensuring project targets are met. Conduct necessary design reviews, ensuring signoff on all product phases. Ensure adequate time to perform design analysis and simulations, focusing on risk mitigation. Introduce new products into manufacturing and ensure smooth transition to production. Report project status to upper management and customers, and respond to customer issues/requests.

BSEE and 10 or more years of experience in RF product design and development, with at least 4 years in management or supervisory role.

Strongly prefer hands-on knowledge and/or experience with High Power Amplifier design.


Lead Project Engineer / RF Systems - ASG06827

Lead design of new and novel RF Power Products.

Will independently direct an R&D team with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic, highly technical setting, and interact with members of other organizations in a cross-functional technology development environment. Provide project leadership on projects from concept to completion, including technical resource and budget allocation. Organize engineering teams to execute development and release of new RF products.

Manage R&D projects, working closely with electrical, mechanical and process engineers and scientists for system characterization, specification, and integration. Participate in reliability program definition and drive continuous improvement efforts. Communicate critical technical information regarding system design and performance, including schedule, specifications and cost ramifications.

BS in Engineering and 10+ years of applicable experience, with 4+ years of project lead experience. Highly self-motivated and have a fundamental understanding of RF systems, amplifiers, and controls. Experience with RF or Power Electronics design.


RF Design Engineer - ASG06851

Design and develop novel, leading edge, RF Power generation products for use in industrial electronics applications.

Work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, dynamic, highly technical environment. Develop hardware designs that meet technical, financial, geometric, and other various design constraints using a combination of modeling, simulation, prototyping, testing, and analysis. Guide hardware fabrication, test, qualification, and release to production. Formulate product specifications and flow down to the product subsystems.

Design and verify RF measurement and control networks, including specifying accuracies. Lead PCB and chassis level prototyping, testing, documentation and review. Communicate critical technical information regarding RF and electrical system design and performance. Develop simulation models to analyze transient behavior, thermal stress response, electrical noise and probable failure modes. Design test-benches, perform experiments, collect and analyze data, and implement proposed improvements. Support new technology development initiatives.

Skills Required:

Minimum BSEE (or relevant) and 5+ years experience in RF or Power Electronics design at power levels above 1 kW. Experience with simulation tools (such as SPICE, VIEWLOGIC or equivalent). Hands-on laboratory experience required.


Principal RF Systems Engineer - ASG06846

Lead system engineering teams in sensor development and acquisition projects involving data collection, processing, and exploitation for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance.

Provide sensor systems engineering and technical leadership. Work closely with project leaders, government customers, and contractors to define and achieve project goals. Assign, evaluate, and mentor staff working on diverse technical projects. Pursue opportunities to participate in technology assessments and system concepts for variety of surveillance missions.

MSEE, CS, or Computer Engineering with 12+ years exposure to radar systems engineering concepts and current radar technologies. Must be independent and proactive with strong communication skills.

Desired skills include signals intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, command and control, airborne and ground moving target indicator, RF technology, microwave, radar systems engineering, antennas, data collection and analysis, sensor exploitation, space based platforms, resource management, AMTI, GMTI, ISR. U.S. Citizenship required. Secret or Top Secret clearance given priority.


Wireless Communications Engineer - ASG06819

Analyze and propose solutions to technical challenges associated with internetworking of mobile airborne platforms, including space- and ground-based connectivity. Challenges include wireless comm, ad hoc media access, mobile routing, and quality of service provisioning.

BSEE, CS or relevant, and 3+ years of applicable experience. Solid understanding of RF communications. Strong analytical skills and knowledge of network protocol fundamentals including IP routing and wireless data-link protocols.

U.S. Citizenship required.


Lead Communications Systems Engineer - ASG06862

Provide communications engineering support for ground and airborne comm systems. Assess and evaluate systems requirements and support development of capabilities roadmap strategies.

BSEE (or relevant) with 5+ years of applicable experience. Strong RF communications systems skills and working knowledge of ground and airborne LOS/BLOS comm systems. Understanding of networks and network technology. Experience with AF communications operations and integration of systems on airborne platforms is a plus.

Lead RF Communications Engineer - ASG06876

Lead RF Systems Analysis, RF Systems Design, and Communication Systems Design

BSEE with 6+ years of applicable experience. Strong RF analysis and design skills, and knowledge of spread spectrum communication techniques.

Experience with military or commercial wireless communications, including frequency synthesizers, transceiver design, laboratory prototype skills. Working knowledge of HF communications highly desired. Experience in program acquisition, DSP, data networking is also desirable.

U.S. Citizenship required.


Principal RF / Systems Engineer - ASG05859

Support the Naval Communications Business Unit Manager in specifying equipment and systems for naval and land-based communications systems.

Primary focus to include HF Radio Equipment consisting of low power receivers, antennas, high power transmitters, receive/transmit couplers and combiners. Secondary systems-level focus to include broader capabilities in VHF/UHF radio and RF components, naval networking systems, and control and management applications. Tasks to include conducting and reporting on feasibility studies, producing estimates for proposals, and liaison/briefings/negotiations with DOD and industry customers.

BS - Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics and 8+ years experience with RF technologies, (ideally at LHF/HF) with ability to design and develop innovative and cost effective system solutions.

Additional broader experience in VHF/UHF, naval networking, control and management and systems integration is a plus. Familiar with specific requirements of naval communications systems: STANAGs, waveforms, security constraints, processes and procedures. General knowledge of the following: RF power amplifiers, RF filters, RF distribution (splitters, amplifiers and combiners), receivers, oscillators, frequency synthesisers, RF cosite and EMC, and link budgets. Leading to an expert knowledge in at least two of the areas. Capable of multitasking a number of activities as departmental constraints dictate and willingness to attend customer meetings when required and on occasions, and visit installations to provide technical support.

US Citizenship required, active Secret or Top Secret clearance preferred.


Principal RF Engineer - ASG05405

Recognized as an authority in a specific domain of expertise with functional knowledge across multiple domains and processes.

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, risk, supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.

Ensures logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Strong advocate of continuous process improvement and infrastructure change.

BSEE and 15+ years experience as a RF Systems Engineer, and at least 7 years of experience in the design and test of complex RF and analog circuitry. Experience using analysis tools such as Matlab and Simulink as well as expertise in the system design and analysis of sunthesizers, receivers, or transmitters is a plus. Experience as a project or task leader is desired.

RF Communication System Engineer (5 positions) - ASG05409

RF System Engineer for a geographically dispersed, multi-site C4 system. Responsibilities may include:

RF coverage analysis and modeling, frequency planning, antenna system/tower analysis, intermodulation analysis, RF system design, peer review of RF system designs, assess link budgets and design criteria to meet coverage requirements, and document results of analysis, design and review activities. May also include on-site evaluations of antenna sites to identify RF equipment locations and antenna orientation. Responsible for applying systematic processes to ensure the soundness and operational suitability of designs and design concepts.

BSEE with a minimum of 5 years wireless communication systems engineering experience.

Familiarity and experience with one or more of the following areas is required: radio network design & deployment, RF coverage analysis/modeling, antenna design, EMI/intermod analysis, RF filtering products and their function (filter types, isolators, duplexers). Must posess a thorough understanding of VHF/UHF radio propagation and have experience with coverage/intermod modeling. Experience with standard system engineering methodologies, processes, and tools.

RF Design Engineers (8 positions) - ASG05422

Experienced RF engineers with RF/Microwave experience from VHF through S-Band.

As a member of a product development team, design, analyze and test analog and RF circuitry for software-defined radio. Perform associated performance and stress analyses, and participate in design reviews. Support the integration and testing of engineering model modules, and also support the eventual transition to full-rate production. BSEE + 7 years demonstrated results, or equivalent experience.

BSEE and at least 5 years demonstrated results in the design of analog and RF circuitry for fielded products. The candidate must have practical experience with analog/RF design and analysis tools such as PSPICE and ADS. Experience in the design of RF filters, synthesizers, VCOs, power converters, receivers or transmitters is a significant plus.

Senior RF Design Engineer - ASG05431

Senior RF design engineer required to support development program.

As a member of a cross-functional product-development team, design, analyze and test state-of-the-art RF circuitry and develop ways to reduce the size and cost of the RF circuitry for use in a miniature software-defined radio. Provide technical guidance to less experienced RF designers.

BSEE + 9 or more years of demonstrated results, or equivalent experience. Must have demonstrated results in the design of RF circuitry for fielded products. Practical experience with RF design and analysis tools such as pSPICE or ADS is required. Experience in the design of RF filters, synthesizers, VCO, receivers or transmitters is a significant plus as well as experience in a leadership position on a development team.

U.S. Citizen. Secret ot Top Secret clearance a plus.


Senior RF Hardware Design Engineer (3 positions) - ASG05447

Responsible for the detailed design of RF and microwave modules for high reliability space applications.

Qualified candidate should have prior experience with detailed design, simulation and test of circuits/modules/systems. Must be able to effectively lead and interact with other hardware, software, test, systems and manufacturing engineers. Effective contact and interaction with customers and suppliers will also be required.

BSEE with emphasis on RF and microwave circuit design. Prior study of communication theory, RF circuit design, filters, electromagnetics and signal processing is required. 5 or more years related experience in the design, simulation and fabrication of RF modules is required. Experience with network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, power supplies, oscilloscopes and related test equipment.

RF Engineer - AM/FM Communications - ASG05428

Design high performance AM/FM communications equipment in the 30 MHz-3GHz range from system through board level.

Derive and develop requirements, simulate expected performance, design PCB layouts, and oversee fabrication and test of completed assemblies. Products include tactical, battery powered, handheld communications equipment.

BSEE and 5+ years related RF engineering experience. Proficient in computer aided design (HP-ADS, Touchstone, Libra, MathCad, Matlab or Spice). Familiarity with Orcad schematic capture and proficiency planning PCB layouts on multi-layer SMT PCBs.

Familiarity with Software Defined Radio design (hybrid analog DSP SDR) is a strong plus.
